Chepstow Review

Though not as grand as other Newport mansions, this Italianate-style villa with a mansard roof houses a remarkable collection of art and furniture gathered by the Morris family of New York City. Its collection of important 19th-century American paintings includes Hudson River landscapes. Built in 1861, the home was designed by Newport architect George Champlin Mason.
