This humble and reasonably priced family-run eatery has been turning out soul-warming Italian classics since the 1980s. The cheery dining room is midway between the Bellevue Avenue and Thames Street sections of town. There's always a house-made polenta starter on the menu, its preparation varying daily. Follow this with fresh eggplant baked with mozzarella and homemade tomato sauce or veal sautéed with rosemary, shallots, mushrooms, and a light cream sauce.
