Fodor's Review:

This humble and reasonably priced family-run eatery has been turning out soul-warming Italian classics since the 1980s inside a cheery dining room midway between the Bellevue Avenue and Thames Street sections of town. There's always a house-made polenta starter on the menu, its preparation varying daily. Follow this with fresh eggplant melanzane baked with mozzarella and homemade tomato sauce, or veal sautéed with rosemary, shallots, mushrooms, and a light cream sauce.
