A regal East Bay estate set on a peninsula near Colt State Park, this rambling 1940 mansion anchors a gloriously situated 33-acre compound of well-tended lawns and manicured gardens. The seven rooms and suites have Bose CD stereos and DVD players; some have immense sitting rooms, and many afford expansive views of Narragansett Bay. Bathrooms have deep tubs and stand-alone showers. A well-trained, multilingual staff tends to guests' every needs, and the park-like grounds include an in-ground pool with a slate lanai, a tennis court, and fishing on the bay. Pros: magnificent waterfront setting, huge rooms, gracious staff. Cons: pricey, not within walking distance of shopping and dining, site of many weddings and functions.

Who can find anything wrong with Point Pleasant. Never have we been so blown away.

As a travel writer, reviewer and rater Point Pleasant Inn & Resort is a real gem of a find. The 25 acre waterfront estate has been brought back to life by the owners the Hafer's and it is surely loved. Romantic, quiet, on the Narragansett Bay. All inclusive except for dinner. It is a word of mouth, find on the internet or know the owners kind of place. But once you are there you are sure to return. Again and again. Keep watching you will see a "Room with a View" article on Point Pleasant in Bristol,RI, Bristol County

We have been going for years and will not go again. I caught the operator gossiping about a complaint I made to other guests. I have since found out that she gossips about all her guests - and writes all the positive reviews you see about the place personally. Go some where else but not here.
