Hyatt Regency Newport Review
On Goat Island across from the Colonial Point district, the Hyatt, which completed a massive $30 million renovation in 2007, affords panoramic views of the harbor and the Newport Bridge. Most rooms have water views. Although the hotel is a 10-minute walk to the center of Newport, bike and moped rentals are nearby. All rooms are decorated with light-wood and dark-granite-top furniture, cushy bedding with pillowtop mattresses, and modern nautical color schemes. The outdoor restaurant, Pineapples ($), is a little-known spot to watch the sunset in summer.
