Urbane dining draws big crowds to this snazzy, cleverly renovated auto-repair garage. Asian twists (a lobster-ginger-cream sauce with the four-cheese ravioli) enliven the mostly French-bistro fare, accompanied by a carefully selected menu of wines, brandies, and aperitifs. Escargots in garlic butter, chicken-liver-and-foie-gras mousse, and streak frites are all terrific. High ceilings and an open floor lend to a lively metro vibe, and on Sunday, there's live jazz.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here on a recent weekend getaway. We sat outside under a covered area. The Crispy Salmon was amazing as was the Steak AuPoive. Great wine selection as well! The meal and walk to the restarant was worth it!

I had a lovely lunch here- great food and service and would absolutely return here. The ambiance is sophisticated but cozy and I'd recommend this spot to anyone!

I was at this restaurant recently. After being ignored at the door, I found my own table. After being ignored for a before dinner drink, I got my own. After being ignored at my table for food service, I left. I travel to Newport regularly on Navy business. In light of this experience, I am not planning to return to this restaurant. I do plan to share this experience with others.
