Formal dining is on the upper level, on the Porch, a dining room with a timber-beam ceiling, green latticework, richly patterned cushions, and water views; there's open-air dining in warm weather. The refined menu incorporates local seafood and utilizes a mix of American and Mediterranean recipes; game dishes often appear as specials. On the middle levels are the Candy Store and the Grill Room, plus the Midway Bar serving sushi; in summer, the large windows are opened so diners can view Bannister's Wharf. Late at night, the dark, downstairs Boom Boom Room comes alive with a DJ. A dance-floor cam provides a simulcast viewing of your dance moves at the TV across the bar.

The service was horrible, the decor is dated, and the staff is very pretentious. They called twice to remind us to dress nice, and so I expected it to be a very upscale place, but the only thing upscale was the prices- my swordfish and my boyfriend's halibut were both very over-cooked, and it took 10 minutes before our waiter even came to bring us water while we waited on the very hot and stuffy roofdeck. There are much better meals to be had in Newport. Also- two days after we left we discovered that they charged our credit card THREE times. This place is HORRIBLE!!
