Fodor's Review

Built in 1873 by noted Newport architect George Champlin Mason, this distinctive Swiss chalet–inspired house has good-sized rooms done up in classic Victorian style. All have their own fireplaces, and some even have antique claw-foot bathtubs. It hasn't forgotten modern comforts like TVs, DVD players, and beds topped with luxurious linens. The well-maintained hardwood floors are works of art. Interactive murder-mystery weekends where guests participate with improv actors

in solving crimes are offered October through May. Blueberry-stuffed French toast is a breakfast favorite.
