A jazz trio plays Monday through Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons while patrons dine alfresco under a copper beech tree at this popular spot. An herb garden, fieldstone walls, and white linen complete the picture of this casual, yet fine-dining restaurant. Seating is also in the tented garden or formal dining rooms. The menu features splendid salads, Northern Italian pasta dishes, meats and seafood prepared with a Continental flair, and a handful of Asian-fusion
dishes. The food is so good it's hard to choose just one or two memorable entrées, but the maple-soy glazed tuna pad thai and chocolate "sushi" for dessert are noteworthy. Reservations are essential on summer weekends.
