Manisses Animal Farm

Manisses Animal Farm Review

When the kids have had enough of the beach, they'll be wowed by this hobby farm, run by the owners of the Hotel Manisses in meadows behind the gracious Victorian hotel. Camels, llamas, emus, fainting goats (goats whose legs stiffen when excited causing them to fall over), black swans, kangaroos, and a zedonk (cross between a zebra and a donkey) roam outside and will take handouts of the pellets provided; lemurs leap around their own enclosure. A herd of gentle alpacas helps provide fibers for the adjacent North Light Fibers textile mill, while a little closer to the road, herb and vegetable gardens provide ingredients for the Manisses' fine dining restaurant.
