Hank's Place

Updated 05/19/2011

Fodor's Review

Locals flock to this wood-panel outpost for hearty breakfast specials, such as omelets with Kennett Square shiitake and portobello mushrooms and eggs Benedict topped with chipped beef. Hank's is also open for home-style lunches and dinners (come early, as it closes at 7 pm). The Irish-style chili with mashed potatoes, fresh fish, and "Steerburger" with fresh sautéed local mushrooms beckon. The strawberry pie and apple dumplings are specialties.

Overrated

Another restaurant that reinforces my belief that people will eat anything. We only had a gyro & fries, which lacked meat and flavor. I am Greek and their spanikopita and tzatziki were horrible.
