Just stayed at the hotel one night and was appalled at the service. The desk clerks in the evening and the morning were very rude. There was a problem with our room and the desk clerk and manager were so rude. We were about to leave the hotel and had our bags in hand and THEN the manager offered to fix what was wrong. Not a very pleasant check in. When asked if they knew when Longwood Gardens opened the clerk said in a rude voice, "I don't know,
you will have to call them!" Being less than 2 miles away from major attrations like the Brandywine river museum (Wyeth) and Longwood gardens, I would have expected the hotel to have some information on hand about the hours or at least a phone number. Rooms were small and the entire hotel smelled like sewage or methane. Afternoon Tea was a joke. Lipton tea bags and otis Spunkmeyer cookies. Not much to brag about. The breakfast was the same. Yogurt, stale bagels, oh yes, there was a tip jar located just next to the juices. A very unhappy "wait staff" complained to guests that you should pull the level of the coffee maker THIS WAY and HOLD IT DOWN! Not a bad location, very nice area, but the service was so horrific that we will never go back.
