Taxes

The main sales tax in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas is 8%. This tax also applies to restaurant meals. Various other taxes—including a 10% liquor tax—may apply. There's no sales tax on clothing. Hotel taxes are 8.5% in Philadelphia, 3% in Bucks County, and 5% in Lancaster County.
