Banks are open weekdays 9-3; a few are open Saturdays and Sundays, with limited hours. The main post office is open 24 hours daily; some branches are open 9 to 5 weekdays, and Saturday 9 to noon. All banks and post offices are closed on national holidays.

Museums & Sights

Many museums and sights are open 10-5; a few stay open late one or two evenings a week, and a number are closed on Monday. Historic area sights are open daily, with longer hours in summer, but it's wise to check ahead.

Pharmacies

Most downtown pharmacies are open 9-6. Hours vary in the outlying neighborhoods and suburbs.

Shops

Downtown shopping hours are generally 9:30 or 10 to 5 or 6. Many stores are open until 9 PM on Wednesday. Most downtown stores are closed on Sunday, but the Gallery, the Shops at Liberty Place, and some stores in the Bellevue are open noon-5 or 6. The Bourse is open Sundays 11-5 from spring to fall. Antiques stores and art galleries may be closed some mornings or weekdays; it's wise to call ahead for hours.
