Fodor's Review

Although longtime owner Ed Hermance retired and sold the building, closing this historic bookstore in the spring of 2014, new tenants Philly AIDS Thrift have revived it for a new generation interested in LGBTQ fiction and nonfiction. Focusing on books dealing with gay, lesbian, and feminist topics, this well-regarded store stocks an extensive inventory and sponsors many author appearances.
