Fodor's Expert Review Trocadero

This spacious rock-and-roll club in Chinatown occupies a former vaudeville theater and burlesque house where W. C. Fields and Mae West performed. Much of the old decor remains: mirrors, pillars, and balconies surround the dance floor. Most every up-and-coming band that's passing through Philly plays here to an under-30 crowd. On other nights, local DJs play for dance parties; Monday sees it host a popular film series.
