Philadelphia Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe Review
The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe are two performing arts festivals that take over the city for 16 days each September, starting around Labor Day. The Live Arts portion is a curated festival of cutting-edge dance and theater from international and local groups. The Fringe is a free-for-all of longtime established companies to fly-by-night operations that produce their own shows. During the festival there are about 200 shows in 100 venues, with more than 1000 performances.
