Franco and Luigi's High Note Cafe

$$-$$$, Italian, South Philadelphia

User Rating: **** 4.4

Fodor's Review:

Arias from classic operas, sung mostly by fresh-faced young singers who are in training or have done professional stints around Philadelphia and other cities, accompany somewhat unusual, but unquestionably Italian, dishes such as veal, shrimp, and scallops sautéed in scampi sauce over a bed of shredded radicchio. Reserve well in advance to ensure seating on weekends.

Charming and Inviting

The food was excellent, as were the singers. Most people were casually dressed up. I left feeling like I had an experience rather than just dinner.
