Monk's Cafe
Monk's Cafe Review
Mussels are practically the national dish of Belgium. Whether steamed in classic style with wine and shallots or with cream, they're a high point at this casual, lively bar and restaurant. The fries that accompany them draw raves from the regulars who crowd the place. Burgers, too, are favorites. Add to these an outstanding assortment of Belgian specialty dishes and beers and you get the picture.

foody, from Philadelphia
Warm, friendly Belgian cafe with an astounding selection of beer. This is the place that started the Belgian beer trend in America. Monk's also has lots of local selections. Grab a quick burger (and I mean a REAL burger) or enjoy succulent octopus, mussels, rabbit or a damn fine filet mignon stuffed with roquefort cheese. The place does get crowded, but that's because it's such a great value.
