Germantown Historical Society
Germantown Historical Society Review
The headquarters of the society has a historical and genealogical library and a museum showcasing noteworthy furniture, textile, and costume collections, from Colonial highboys and Peale paintings to Quaker samplers and mourning clothes. It's also an orientation point for anyone visiting the Germantown houses. The society doesn't function as well as it should as a gateway to the various sights, but you can collect most of the information that you'll need here.
