This retrofitted former boardinghouse more than a few blocks west of Penn's campus is a surprising foodie haven buried among, and nearly indiscernible from, a sea of Victorian town houses. The homey apple-green interior is a simple backdrop for Michael Solomonov's Mediterranean-leaning fare. Regulars show up clutching their very best bottles of wine to drink with such adventurous dishes as pan-roasted halibut served in a shallow pool of chicken consommé spiked with Persian tea. Reservations are recommended.
