Homewood Suites Philadelphia City Avenue Review

For an extended business trip, this hotel might be your best bet. Built adjacent to the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, this all-suites hotel shares its neighbor's restaurant and bar but stands apart with its in-room comforts, including fully stocked kitchens with marble countertops. Too busy to go shopping? Give the staff a shopping list and they'll deliver your order to your room. A complimentary hot breakfast and light dinner are served Monday through Thursday, and complimentary beer and wine are served in the evening Monday through Thursday. Rooms get ample natural light and most offer a tranquil view of the Philadelphia skyline 5 mi away.

    The Hotel of Brotherly Love

After staying twice at the Homewood Suites Philadelphia City Avenue, I am pleased to write that I immensely enjoyed our stay. The first visit I took a wrong turn and got lost finding the hotel. After calling the hotel and getting directions, I found the property. The front desk agent was the sweetest person I ever met. When I arrived I felt as though I was a long-lost friend returning home. I even was given a big hug after all the stress of being lost. The Homewood Suites' room rate includes breakfast and a managers reception Monday through Thursday. The food was very good, the salad bar exceptional and the wait staff more than gracious. The rooms are small suites with high ceilings and comfortable beds and furniture. There is a ;nice kitchen area supplied with popcorn, coffee and tea for an evening snack. I returned for a second visit and I must say we weren't just lucky our first stay. The second stay was just as welcoming. This time, my car was in need of repair. The front desk again jumped to find a local repair shop for me located a couple blocks from the hotel. We were in and out of the garage in plenty of time to make the hotel checkout time, but was told not to worry if we were late. How that eased my mind while I was at the garage. The location of the hotel was a convenient and scenic ride to and from the Liberty Bell and Historic Independance Hall. I would highly recommend this hotel for a Hotel of Brotherrly Love in Philadelphia!
