¢-$, Mexican, South Philadelphia
Fodor's Review:
This little place on the edge of the Italian Market is in a former cheesesteakery, but it couldn't be more authentic in its Mexican flavors, as evidenced by the presence of many Mexican-Americans on the weekends. Hand-pressed tortillas cradle ingredients that are surprising for street food -- huitlacoche, pickled pumpkin blossoms, salty queso fresco, roasted slow-cooked goat. Try the enchiladas suizas, which drip with genuine Mexican cheese. Fans insist this taqueria is one of the best of the Philadelphia's recent wave of taquerias.
