Fodor's Review

The liquid of choice at this BYOB is rum, to mix with the Hut's selection of house-made mixers like carrot milk and ginger-and-clove spiced sorrel (hibiscus) tea. Jamaican-American owner Lisa Wilson recently took over this mainstay from original owner Nicola Shirley, but the jerk pork and chicken lovingly tenderized over an authentic pit are as good as ever. Cranky neighbors succeeded in getting the charming adjacent garden shut down (developers are building apartments there now) but the festive atmosphere, and spirit, remains
