Fodor's Review

South of New Hope on the road leading to Bowman's Tower, this modern interpretation of country charm was built in the late 1970s as a private home and converted to a high-end B&B in the mid-2000s by its energetic, world-traveled owner, Mike Amery. Because of the inn's vintage (or lack thereof), guests rooms eschew the antique feel of lacy curtains and carved-wood beds in favor of a relatively clean country style. Florals, checks, and plaids—with the occasional fringe—and

upholstered headboards set the tone here. Modern indulgences include two-person jetted tubs. As is also appropriate for a newish estate, the inn uses geothermal heat and a computerized drip-irrigation system. Gaze over the groomed rolling grounds from the poolside patio or walk down to the koi pond. Feeding the koi and gathering eggs for the kitchen from the resident free-range chickens are popular pursuits. The multicourse breakfast has several options, including eight to ten juices, but always features the inn's signature offering, which comprises eight different breakfast items.
