Fodor's Expert Review Hamilton's Grill Room
Calling this place a "hidden gem" is an understatement. It's not visible from the street, but fans of the changing menu of simply prepared Mediterranean-inspired dishes know where to go. As the name suggests, an open grill—the centerpiece of the Grill Room, one of five dining rooms—figures in the kitchen's preparations. Starters might include grilled shrimp with anchovy butter or iced North Atlantic oysters. Typical entrées are a grilled whole sea bream with Romesco and flatiron steak with bleu-cheese butter and onion rings. In summer the doors of the Garden Room open to catch the breeze, or you can dine in the courtyard garden to the sound of the fountain. Lunch is served on weekends.
