Bus Travel

Greyhound buses travel to and within Oregon, providing frequent service to major cities, such as Portland, Eugene, and Medford. A cheap alternative is BoltBus, which offers inexpensive daily fares between Eugene and Portland, and service farther north up to Seattle, Bellingham, and Vancouver, BC.

In Portland, TriMet operates one of the finest mass transit systems in the country with buses connecting to MAX light rail stations, which provide faster service to the airport and suburban areas. Most buses stop every 15 minutes or so most of the day, every day. Service is less frequent outside rush hour. A single fare is $2.50, a daily pass is $5, a weekly pass is $26, and a monthly, unlimited pass is $100.
