The huge windows in the new tasting room look out over the vines of their estate vineyard on the northeast slope of the Chehalem Mountains. If you keep a sharp eye, you may even catch a glimpse of the many raptors (red-tail hawks, sharp-shinned hawks, and kestrels) that give this small winery its name. Raptor Ridge specializes in single vineyard pinot noirs that capture the sense of place of their estate vineyard as well as several other vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley. They also produce chardonnay, pinot gris, and a very nice Tempranillo. During the summer, enjoy your tasting at a table on the outside deck that overlooks the vineyards. Tours of the wine-making facility are available by appointment.
