Fodor's Review

The highlight here is a 1922 steam locomotive used in Coos County logging. On display are a formal 1900 parlor, a pioneer kitchen, and exhibits on Native American history, agriculture, and industry such as logging, shipping, and mining. As of this writing, the museum is in the midst of moving into a new 11,000-square-foot facility on the waterfront in downtown Coos Bay—it's expected to be completed by early 2015.
