Every room has a gorgeous river view with tugboats shepherding barges to and fro. Built upon century-old pilings right where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean, the hotel is in the restored Union Fisherman's Cooperative Packing Company building, an integral part of the town's history. The interior, however, is modern and bright, with a liberal use of glass and polished wood, including hardwood floors in the rooms. The property sits on the Astoria Riverwalk and on the Trolley Line, and gourmet dining is within walking distance. Pros: Amazing river views, great in-room amenities, next to fine-dining. Cons: Everything looks sparkling new, in contrast to a town with rustic charm.

Wonderful setting! Nice Service. Room was plain, but fine. The setting definately made up for any lack of great style in the room.
Loaner bikes were well appreciated. 2nd floor photo gallery was delightful. Would have been nice to have a chair or two on our balcony. Had to move chairs from inside. Fun to watch ships go right by the window and watch the sea lions and harbor seals swim on by.
