This stand-alone restaurant for the Hallmark Inns and Resorts serves up some wonderfully innovative dishes. From the sea scallops blackened in house-mixed herbs to coconut shrimp in pineapple salsa with chili slaw, the food here lives up to the ocean view. Local ingredients are frequently mixed with tropical ones like the Dungeness crab cakes topped in mango salsa, and the plates are often layered—the bed of honey mustard-romaine is dressed apart from the blueberry barbecued salmon that lands on top. On the oceanside of Newport, Georgie's is one of few places in town with ocean views. Windows line a half-moon of table seating, and tiered booths mean even the back of the room has decent views. Georgie's is also extremely popular for its breakfasts.
