The Cabins Creekside at Welches Review

Affordability, accessibility to recreational activities, and wonderful hosts make this a great lodging choice in the Mt. Hood area. Comfortable, large studio units that accommodate from one to four people have knotty-pine vaulted ceilings and log furnishings. Full-size kitchens make cooking "at home" a breeze (and there's a single studio cabin for those who need only a microwave and mini-fridge). The surrounding woods offer privacy, and owners Bob and Margaret Thurman have amassed an impressive collection of midcentury and pioneer-era bric-a-brac that they display throughout the property. Patios on each unit face the seasonal creek, and the cabins have lock-storage units large enough to hold bikes, skis, or snowboards.
