Crown Point State Scenic Corridor

Crown Point State Scenic Corridor Review

This 730-foot-high bluff has an unparalleled 30-mile view down the Columbia River Gorge. Vista House, the two-tier octagonal structure on the side of the cliff, opened its doors to visitors in 1916; the rotunda has displays about the gorge and the highway. Vista House's architect Edgar Lazarus was the brother of Emma Lazarus, author of the poem displayed at the base of the Statue of Liberty.
