Charlie's Mountain View Review

Old and new ski swag plasters the walls, lift chairs function as furniture, and photos of famous (and locally famous) skiers and other memorabilia are as abundant as the menu selections. Open flame-grilled steaks and hamburgers are worthy here, and the happy hour crowd shares plates piled high with waffle fries. When they're in season, try the apple dumplings. Charlie's is a local institution for powder hounds, and the fun, divey bar in back stays busy with ski bums and other lively degenerates. Live music packs them in on Friday and Saturday nights.
