Troon Vineyards Review

Few winemakers in southern Oregon have generated more buzz than Troon, whose swank tasting room and winery is patterned after a French country villa. Troon produces relatively small yields of exceptional wines more typical of Sonoma than Oregon (Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Syrah are the heavy hitters), but they also plant less typical U.S. varietals, such as Viognier and Cabernet Franc. The winery is 14 mi southeast of downtown Grants Pass, in the northern edge of the Applegate Valley.
