Abacela Vineyards and Winery

Abacela Vineyards and Winery Review

Abacela Vineyards and Winery derives its name from an archaic Spanish word meaning "to plant grapevines," and that's exactly what this winery's husband-wife team did not so very long ago. Abacela released its first wine in 1999, and quickly established itself as an innovator in the region. Hot-blooded Spanish tempranillo is this place's pride and joy, though inky malbec and torrid sangiovese also highlight a repertoire heavy on Mediterranean varietals. Admission $5 tasting fee. Hours are 11-5 daily.
