Breakfast reaches new heights at this distinctive cafe across the street from Southern Oregon University. In a blue Craftsman-style bungalow, the cafe has eclectic furnishings and an attractive patio space bounded by arbors. The extraordinarily good food emphasizes breakfast fare—omelets filled with crab, artichokes, Parmesan, and smoked-garlic cream; Tandoori tofu scrambles with cherry-cranberry chutney; lemon-poppy waffles with seasonal berries; and cranberry-hazelnut French toast with lemon butter. Expect a wait on weekend morning; it's first-come, first-served.
