Taxi fare is $2.50 at flag drop plus $2.60 per mile; each additional passenger is charged $1. Cabs sometimes cruise downtown streets, but it's far more reliable to phone for one. The trip between downtown Portland and the airport takes about 30 minutes by taxi, and the fare averages $35–$40.
