Bamboo Sushi

Bamboo Sushi Review

Conveniently, the best sushi spot in Portland is also the most environmentally sustainable, sourcing its fish conscientiously from fishing operations that follow guidelines set by the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Blue Ocean Institute. Try the black cod with smoked soy and roasted garlic glaze or the house-smoked wild ivory salmon nigiri. Or, opt for a couple of the signature rolls, like the Lucky 13, an albacore tuna, cucumber, and avocado roll topped with red crab, scallops, yuzu tobiko, and cilantro, or the vegetarian Green Machine, with tempura fried asparagus and green onion topped with avocado and cilantro sweet chili aioli. The sleek, modern interior gives the place a polished, classy feel. Seats around the sushi bar in the back set you front and center to the expert sushi-making operation, and on nice days, sidewalk tables allow you to bask in the sunshine while enjoying your meal. There's a second location on 23rd Avenue in Northwest. Expect a wait at this popular spot.
