Fodor's Expert Review Bastas Trattoria

Open since 1992 in a converted Tastee-Freez, this arty bistro serves dishes from all over Italy. The walls are painted with Italian earth tones, and a small side garden provides alfresco dining in good weather. The standard menu includes pizzas, pastas, and seafood dishes, but the happy hour menu—containing sauteed clams, lightly fried chicken strips, spaghetti and meatballs, and caesar salad—is available all night every night in the front lounge, and it's the place's true claim to fame.
