Fodor's Review:

In a converted Tastee-Freez, this arty bistro serves dishes from all over Italy. The walls are painted with Italian earth tones, and a small side garden provides alfresco dining in good weather. The menu includes scaloppine, grilled lamb, and creative seafood and pasta dishes.

The food at Bastas is prepared with care an I can honestly say that I have not ever had a bad meal there. One can pop in and have a simple item from the lounge menu or enjoy some of the more hearty meals served off the dining menu. The Cafe Bastas Cocktail is a must! The staff is polite but not in your face which makes it a good place to take a date.

I am a regular to this Ristorante Italiano for many years now. Recent changes to the interior of the lounge and as well to the menu made my visits to this place even more frequent. Next to the regular menu there are some great specials offered. From a home-made Italian sausage dish all the way to Cow Tongue served with red cabbage. This restaurant is a great spot to visit by yourself, with a date, or with a large group. Family Style dinners are offered a few times a year, such as a Pig Roast, a mushroom dinner, fresh fish food fest, or a Wild Game dinner.
I highly recommend this place, great food, great service, good people.
