Fodor's Review

On the top nine floors of a former landmark department store, this swanky hotel, part of the Starwood Luxury Collection, has the city's poshest accommodations, with luxe decor, great views, and two see-and-be-seen restaurants. Rooms are chic and modern, with a soothing cream-and-blue color scheme, luxe bedding, iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, and stunning views of downtown, the West Hills, and even Mt. Hood from east-facing rooms. The common areas are decorated with interesting

local art and framed photos; the expansive lobby, in a central, skylit atrium, has multiple sitting areas separated by curtained glass walls; off to the side is a cavelike billiards room lined with dark bookshelves and the trendy steak house, Urban Farmer. Head to the top floor for sophisticated cocktails and exceptional pan-Asian food in the retro-cool Departure Lounge.
