The Nines Review
If you're looking for the cosmopolitan flair of a larger city or want to spot visiting celebrities, this swanky hotel is the place for you. On the top nine floors of a former landmark department store, it offers a tasteful, extravagant escape from ground-level—and stunning views of Pioneer Square and the city in general. The rooms are chic and modern, with iPod docks, 42" flat-screen TVs, and DVD players. The common areas are hung with interesting abstract art; the expansive lobby, in a central, skylit atrium, has multiple sitting areas separated by curtained glass walls, and off to the side is a cave-like billiards room lined with dark bookshelves.
