Avalon Hotel & Spa Review

On the edge of Portland's progressive South Waterfront District and just a few minutes from downtown, this tranquil boutique property is sheltered among trees along the meandering Willamette River. Rooms range widely in size (from about 340 up to 1,030 sq ft), and they are all tastefully decorated with simple yet warm furnishings; most have a balcony. There are a full service spa and extensive fitness facility on-site. Aquariva, an Italian restaurant and wine bar on the premises, serves wonderful tapas and drinks.
