Red Star Tavern & Roast House Review

Cooked in a wood-burning oven, smoker, rotisserie, or grill, the cuisine at Red Star can best be described as American comfort food inspired by the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Spit-roasted chicken, wood-fired steak, chorizo-stuffed trout, and braised rabbit are some of the better entrées. The wine list includes regional and international vintages, and a variety of microbrews are on tap. The spacious restaurant, adjacent to Hotel Monaco, has tufted leather booths, murals, and copper accents.

    Big, Quiet Restaurant

Side orders are a la carte, which is a bummer, considering the prices. Portions were smaller than some of the other restaurants we'd visited.
