With textured wall coverings, pillows made of Pendleton wool, and a color palette of slate blue, mustard yellow, and a variety of browns, this hotel on the banks of the Willamette River captures the look and feel of the Pacific Northwest. More than a quarter of the guest rooms overlook the water, marina, bridges, and skyline, and bathrobes, Starbucks coffee, and Tazo tea are provided. There's a complimentary wine reception every evening in the lobby, and guests receive
complimentary passes to the RiverPlace Athletic Club just down the way. Pets are welcome with no fee.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in Portland on the river front. The rooms are outstanding - we had booked a one bedroom condo suite, but were upgraded to a two bedroom upon arrival. It was a special occasion (wife's birthday) and they service was superb. The staff did everything to ensure the stay was enjoyable - from the concierge booking dinner reservations to the front desk remembering her birthday to the little in room extras. This was very possibly
the best service we have ever received at any hotel. Highly recommend the Kimpton Riverplace.

The RiverPlace Hotel has a lovely view overlooking the river, marina, and park, as you would expect, but the location is a bit inconvenient from the main downtown area. This wouldn't be a serious problem, but the service and amenities do not live up to expectations. The bathroom is like a Motel 6, and although the room was large, the furnishings seemed cheap. The service in the restaurant was incompetent and rude. This facility is part of the American
Express Fine Hotels and Resorts Program, and it certainly does not deserve to be in that group. The fitness facilities and pool are at a separate athletic club that is about two blocks away. I won't be staying here again.
