Fodor's Review:

With its mahogany walls and mural of Pacific Northwest Indians fishing in Celilo Falls, the clubby lobby of the distinctive Governor sets the overall tone for the hotel's 1920s Arts and Crafts style. Painted in soothing earth tones, the tastefully appointed guest rooms have large windows, honor bars, and bathrobes. Some have whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and balconies. Jake's Grill is on the property, the streetcar runs right out front, and the hotel is one block from MAX. Pros: Large rooms, beautiful historic property, excellent restaurant. Cons: Some rooms in need of updates, no late-night room service.
