Fodor's Review

The hip, creative, and adventurous flock to this contemporary boutique hotel, formerly a motor inn, adjacent to the Doug Fir Lounge, a bar and restaurant that's also one of the city's most popular concert venues. The minimalist guest rooms come with modern furniture, down comforters, mp3 docking stations, and chalkboard doors you can write on. Guests can sip on complimentary locally roasted coffee, rent bikes or a ZipCar to explore the city, and enjoy the lively social

scene and music at the on-site lounge. The Central East Side neighborhood surrounding the hotel has exploded with cool restaurants and shops in recent years, and downtown is just a 10-minute walk across the Burnside Bridge.
