Known to most locals as the Ecotrust Building, this building has a handful of organic and environment-friendly businesses and retail including Hot Lips Pizza, World Cup Coffee, and Patagonia (outdoor clothes). Built in 1895 and purchased by Ecotrust in 1998, the building has been significantly adapted to serve as a landmark in sustainable, "green" building practices. Grab a "field guide" in the lobby and take the self-guided tour of the building, which begins with the original "remnant wall" on the west side of the parking lot; proceeds throughout the building; and ends on the "eco-roof," a grassy rooftop with a great view of the Pearl District.
