The only public university in the city takes advantage of downtown's South Park Blocks to provide trees and greenery for its 29,500 students. The attractive, compact, but steadily growing campus, between Market Street and Interstate 405, spreads west from the Park Blocks to 12th Avenue and east to 5th Avenue. Seven schools offer undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees. Close to the Portland Art museum and Oregon History Museum at the Oregon Historical Society, PSU
doesn't have any major attractions of its own, but the campus blends almost imperceptibly with a pretty part of downtown, and it's the site—along the leafy South Park Blocks—of the city's largest farmers' market on Saturday mornings.
