The old-fashioned elegance will strike you as soon as you walk in, but the high-ceiling dining room, done in cream and forest green, is not trendy in any way, and it is partly this earnest dedication to quality food that has helped it gain its name as a neighborhood landmark. Breakfast is a specialty and might include brioche French toast, smoked fish, and legendary blintzes. Lunch and dinner yield good choices, including burgers, poached salmon, and crab cakes.

A great little place. I had seared ahi tuna with a fleur de Sel crust over white beans. It was fabulous especially with the pickled red onions. The rhubarb galette with the crem caramel was outstanding. Overall it was great.
