Oak and mahogany floors, original light fixtures, antique silver, and the coffered dining-room ceiling set a tone of formal elegance, while the wonderfully friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable innkeepers make sure that you feel perfectly at home. A two-course breakfast and evening snacks are served daily. In a beautiful residential neighborhood, you're a block from the shops and restaurants that fill northeast Broadway and within an easy walk of a free MAX ride downtown. Pros: Gorgeous home, top-notch service, afternoon tea available upon request. Cons: Kids under 10 not allowed, books up quickly (particularly in summer).
