Fodor's Expert Review BTU Brasserie
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This microbrewery in Northeast Portland's Hollywood district offers a food menu that varies from the usual brewpub format. Here you’ll find Chinese food, with an emphasis on Szechuan fare, and it’s some of the best in the city, including dan dan noodles with spicy pork and pickled mustard greens, roast-duck noodle soup, and pork-belly bao with scallions and hoisin sauce. Order a pint of house-brewed IPA with your meal. The dining room is warmly lighted and relatively spare, with a bare concrete floor and a smattering of Asian prints on the walls; the several tables are set around a U-shape bar in the center of the room.
